Heath has been in the landscape business since birth. His grandfather and father were both landscape and general contractors. Since the age of 10, he has been pulling wire through trenches. Looking for an easier life in the landscape world, Heath turned to the distribution side of the business. His company, JPH Group, LLC., serves the Northern California and Nevada markets as a manufacturer's representative.
Heath has been a CLCA member since 1998, and is an active member of the Sacramento Valley Chapter. He most recently served on the state board as the Chapter Presidents Council North co-chair, and he was the project manager for the state headquarters landscape project. Heath received the Associate Member of the Year Award in 2003.

Bill Schnetz is the president and founder of Schnetz Landscape Inc. in Escondido. He grew his business slowly using a hands-on management style, focusing first on the craft of landscaping and then on the business.
From 1974 to 1976, he attended Mesa Junior College, where he majored in landscape technology. In 1993, he joined the San Diego Chapter, where he was a chapter board member from 1994 to 1997, president in 1998, and board chair in 1999.
Bill has also been active in several chapter-based activities committees. He became a Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) in 2003. He has co-chaired local CLT testing sites and has served as a CLT judge and technical adviser for the past eight years. He was a five-year member of TEC International, an organization of business owners and CEOs.

Pete has served as membership chair and chapter president for the Channel Islands chapter, and was elected to the Chapter Presidents Council in 2003. He is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo's horticulture program, and is a member of the Ventura County Contractors Association. He is the president of Dufau Landscape, which was founded in 1990 as a commercial installation and maintenance provider.

Eric has been a member of the San Fernando Valley chapter since 1997 and was chapter president in 2002 and 2003. He has served on the state Ways and Means Committee for seven years and has chaired the committee for the past four years. As President of Majestic Pools & Landscapes, Inc. in Northridge, Eric is committed to the advancement of the industry, continually pushing the boundaries of the conventional landscape installation. He holds licenses in general contracting, home improvement, landscaping, and pool construction.

Andy and his wife Linda are owners of Quillen Enterprises, Inc, a custom residential design/build landscape contractor in the Sacramento area. Having begun in the landscape construction business in 1974, he has become am a Certified Irrigation Designer and a Certified Golf Course Irrigation Auditor. Andy has been an active member of CLCA since 1996, having served on the Sacramento Valley Chapter board continually since then, and has held each board position at one time or another, including two years as chapter president. He has served on the state PR Committee and most recently on a Chapter President's Council Committee for Chapter By-Laws.

Chuck Carr is the President and Founder of Carr Landscape Management, Inc., based in Porter Ranch, California.
A member of the San Fernando Valley Chapter, Chuck first became involved with CLCA in 1994 as a management employee of Jordan Landscape. After Jordan Landscape and several subsequent years with Environmental Care (now Valley Crest) Chuck became a licensed landscape contractor and opened his company in October 2000. At the chapter level he served as Secretary, Vice President of Membership and finally, two terms as chapter President.
At the state level for CLCA, Chuck has been an active member of the CPC, the Public Relations Committee and has participated in various committee meetings and strategic planning sessions.

Jon has been a CLCA member since 1977. He served as San Joaquin Valley Chapter president in 1978, 1994, 1997-98, 1999, 2000-02, and as state president in 1984. Jon served on the state executive board from 1980 to 1985, and rejoined the board of directors in 2003. He co-founded the Landscape Industry Show in 1979, and served on the LIS Committee through 1985. In 2004 he began his current role as director of education. He will be chair of the Golden Oak Cooperative for the 2005-2006 term, acts as a director with Birch Financial and Oakwood Insurance and is a chair of Landscape Contractors Insurance Services.

Mike has been involved with the CLCA on a regular basis since 1998 holding several offices in the San Francisco Bay Area chapter: chapter Awards Chairperson for four years, Secretary, Treasurer, VP Membership, President and Chairman of the Board. Mike has been actively involved with CLCA's public outreach booth at the San Francisco Flower and Garden Show, the newly designed Student Sponsorship Program and a strong supporter of the Women's Auxiliary.

Bob joined CLCA in 1994 and served as president of the Orange County Chapter in 1998. In 1999 and 2000, he served as CPC director and in 2001 was co-chair of the Events Committee. In 2005 Bob was named chairman of the Legislative Committee and soon moved up to director of legislation.
Bob holds a degree in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and in horticulture from Cal Poly, Pomona. He is a Certified Landscape Professional and a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor.

Javier owns and operates Lesaca Landscape Company, started by his father Felix, in 1974. Before joining his father in the business in 1991, Javier graduated from Fresno State with a degree in plant science, worked as a grower for L&P Nursery in Fresno Ca. and was a manager at Color Spot's Nursery in Rolling Heights, CA.
Javier joined CLCA soon after he received my C-27 license in 1992, and was integral in the establishment of the Kern County Chapter in 2004. He served as chapter vice president from 2004-2006 and as president for the 2007-'08 term.

Frank graduated from the University of California, San Francisco, with a degree in business psychology, after having earned degrees in horticulture, fine art and sociology. Through 20-plus years in his landscape contracting business, The Village Gardener, he became involved with the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter in capacities including newsletter editor, Education Committee member, secretary, treasurer, and vice president, before proudly serving as chapter president in 2002.
For his outstanding service to the chapter, Frank was awarded chapter Member of the Year in 2001 and 2003. With a passion for education, Frank volunteers his bilingual teaching skills to prepare unlicensed operators for the contractors licensing test, and serves as an adjunct instructor at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills (Frank also founded the school's CLCA student club).

Barry Elder Jr. has more than 17 years of experience in the green industry -- a highly respected industry veteran. Barry brings a vast knowledge of many aspects of the entire industry.
Barry's experience includes an exceptional track record as a National Sales Manager for one of the industry's leading lighting manufacturers, FX Luminaire, and continues that performance as a California Marketing Service Manager/ California Landscape Lighting Manager with Ewing.
Elder served as a 2007 State Committee Chair and previously as a Northern California AMO. He is also an IA Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor.

Ted has been in landscaping since 1964. He graduated from Chico State with a degree in History-Geography-Political Science. He attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and obtained his contractors license in 1968. He founded Sandrowski Landscaping in January 1968. He has been a member of CLCA since the early 1980s. He helped establish the North Valley Chapter in 1993, and established the awards program and the Lifetime Achievement Award for the chapter. He has been chapter treasurer for 14 years, chapter president for 2 years, and has served on the Ways and Means committee. He has also attended Legislative Day for the past 6 years. In 2006, he received the Ted Sandrowski Award for the Harmonious Balance Between Leadership, Friendship, and Landscaping Excellence.
Ted's wife Karen has been very supportive of his involvement in CLCA. Ted has two sons and seven grandchildren.

Kevin joined the Orange County chapter of CLCA in 2000. He first became involved on the chapter level being a member of the beautification committee in 2002. He then served as Chapter Treasurer during 2003 and 2004. The following year he was VP of Events and in 2006 he worked towards developing a VP of Public Relations chair for the chapter. In 2007 and 2008, he was honored to serve as Chapter President and now as Chapter Presidents Council Co-Director for the south.
Kevin first started in the landscape industry in 1999, designing and installing outdoor lighting systems. Since that time, his company has evolved several times into what is now a full service maintenance and installation company, still with a strong emphasis in lighting and now water management.

Sharon serves as chief administrative officer of the association and has overall responsibility for CLCA operations and staff. She manages and directs staff, oversees the lobbying effort of the association, manages fiscal operations, serves as liaison to other construction and green industry groups, and oversees the general administration of all association activities and business.
