Jay Martinez Joins CLCA Board of Directors
Jay Martinez, a CLCA award-winning landscape contractor and Founder/President of Sacramento’s JVM Landscape Construction, Inc., has joined the CLCA Board of Directors as 2021 Director of Legislation.
Jay grew up watching his father install landscapes for residential homes in the Sacramento area, and decided to get into the landscape industry after recognizing the beauty and functionality that a landscape can give to the homeowner and the environment.
He says that his focus and passion are helping to inform and educate homeowners on drought-tolerant landscapes, paver systems and other design + build projects. His company, JVM Landscape, has successfully installed hundreds of new residential landscapes in the greater Sacramento area, and has a strong focus on project detail and giving full attention to their customers when working with them.
In addition to serving on the Sacramento Valley chapter’s board of directors, Jay chaired CLCA’s Legislative Committees.
Jay’s industry certifications include the QWEL (Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper), CCPI (Certified Concrete Paver Installer and RQP (Rescape Qualified Professional – Sustainable Landscape Design) certifications.
He received his BA degree from Sacramento State, and won the prestigious Nammour Symposium academic award during his tenure there. In his free time, he likes to stay physically active lifting weights, wine tasting, and spending time with his family and Great Dane.
